Liner Notes from Laddy Breen's 1968 comeback album, "Blue Crystal Mood."

Liner notes from Laddy's 1968 LP, "Blue Crystal Mood," which was released but did not chart. It sold fewer than three-thousand copies, mostly in the Delaware Valley, and mostly from the record department cut-out/discount bins at Korvette's, Kresge's and Two Guys.

It's been a while, dear friend. The times, they are a'changin', and as you can see from my groovy new album cover, I'm a'changin' along with them.

I am sure you are too.

The last time we were together, you were sipping ice-cream sundaes at the corner malt shoppe and listening to me on the jukebox. It seems like a lifetime ago, and it was! These days, you are changing diapers and changing your mind about the way things are.

Me too.

I hope this album will let you explore this new world of ours with me. It's good to be together with you again. True, we're older and wiser, but we're also able to love and live and learn better than ever before.

Won't you join me?

This world is a different and sometimes scary place, but if we stick together, we can get through it and even enjoy it. And maybe even be a part of it.

I'm already doing my part. I've chosen twelve very contemporary songs for your listening pleasure. These arrangements are just the trick while doing the dishes, playing canasta with the neighbors, or simply just hanging out and doing your thing.

None of these tunes will offend, or cause misunderstandings. Nothing here about drugs or other wild stuff. You won't need to read between the lines with these lyrics. They're today, but they're clear-sailing.

May I entreat you to switch on your hi-fi, crank up the old turntable, and place the needle where it will do you the most good. I sing these songs with you in mind.

The new, groovy you.
